Genuine

Truth drips softly into our tea
Personal sun flares catches the conversation
White shirt white hearts
open and close and near
Cheeks pull tight embracing

You are genuine. You are the you say.

In your roots and finger tips
left inside watered and fed
the fourth of many
Repeat the pattern supplanter
trick us with honesty.

The Unword

The Unword

after
Legacy
Future tenses
Cycle of progress
Receiving further along the path
Rested, walking in the cool and new speech
Blood, body, me. In the dark place. Out. -
             Breathe. Drink. Eat. Remember me.

Blazes Catch the Bristles

Sweep. Sweep me
Brush my hearth
Swept floating
North south east
Carried
Care read
Books on the ocean
Cloth and passing on
Altar course
Swept sweeping
Tumbling in place for
This that
The other thing
Is not as great
Dee dee
Sweep me sweep me
Hear it comes
Sweetly singing
Lovely. Falling still
Securely swept away.

× David Van Drunen

He swept.
He is sweeping me with embrace.
Oceans of clean fire.

Peace and Yearning

  -----I--  a/\/\--
slipping a\/\/ay

calm breathing. folding eyes
peaceful pouches of scentless herbs

ease

tangles come undone
the Nothing melts leaving me clean
unharmed, safe and loved
the Everything is here

There is this peace that is more than eye am
I want everything I have and lose every need
But she is pulling away
but there is peace
and yearning                                                                × David Van Drunen
   Peace and Yearning
I want it so bad. Content beyond any need.
Peaceful, hopeful desire.
Broken pots holding treasures of forever.

I need it. So satisfied.

It’s like standing still
            wanting to run
It’s like being away in the middle of the night
                                                                                             waiting for what we have
